Born on 27th January, 1950. Enrolled as an Advocate on 20th September, 1977.
Practiced for about 17 years before entering into service before Subordinate Courts in Manipur and High Court. Was standing Counsel of the Food Corporation of India, Manipur Spinning Mill before entering into Judicial Service Grade-I. Worked as Addl. District & Sessions Judge and Designated Judge (TADA), Manipur East. w.e.f. 18.11.94 to 6.1.1997, Judge, Family Court, Manipur, Presiding Officer, Election Tribunal (Panchayati Raj), Manipur, w.e.f. 7.4.1997 to 22.3.1999.
While serving as Registrar, Gauhati High Court at Imphal Bench elevated as Additional Judge of the Gauhati High Court on 12.10.2006. Assumed charge of the office of the Judge of the Gauhati High Court (High Court of Assam, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh) on 11th October, 2008 at 4.00 pm. Laid office of the Judge on 27th January, 2012.
